Summary
The Sales Operations Analyst will be instrumental in enhancing our sales operations by conducting comprehensive data analysis, providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership. This role demands a deep understanding of our business and key operational metrics, leveraging extensive experience with sales data to drive profit and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and manage all sales tools: Salesforce etc.
- Design, develop, and deliver robust and scalable reporting in Salesforce or the department’s CRM.
- Partners with cross-functional teams to help support daily operations of the business development, develop metrics and data sets that enable analysis of our business initiatives that drive actionable insights.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives aimed at scaling revenue operations to increase level of efficiency and effectiveness.
- Perform detailed data analysis to uncover insights and trends.
- Provide strategic recommendations to sales operations leadership.
- Develop and refine metrics to measure performance.
- Analyze and advise on improvements in our processes and systems to help boost productivity and efficiency.
- Interpret complex data sets to inform decision-making and strategic planning.
- Manage and optimize Sales Operations data systems, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
- Incorporate core data management competencies – data governance, data security, data quality.
- Ensures the modeled solutions solve the business problem in a way that can be understood by business leaders and implemented in existing processes.
- Communicate and translate complex information in relevant business terms.
- Present data visualizations to help support data exploration.
- Data solutions & Analytic implementations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with data tools, techniques, and manipulation preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent in work experience.
Education, Work Experience, & Knowledge
- Ability to prioritize to meet business needs.
- Team Player with a positive attitude ready to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in PPT, Word, and Excel
- Uses various technologies to assist in data analysis, including Salesforce, Excel.
- Communicates clearly the business meaning behind the data to our development teams, and addresses clarifications in a timely manner.
- Understands business use cases and readily extrapolates them into data requirements.
- Understands business data changes overtime and considers these changes in business use cases, development, and testing.
- Evaluates static data sets and identifies when assumptions are made, further business clarifications are needed.
- Organized, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Technical skills & Competencies
- Attention to detail and comfortable working with both business and IT partners.
- Ability to see the larger goal using quality information.
- Ensures meaningful business data is available and included in business partner demos.
- Assists in data cleansing, research, and maintenance in a variety of tools (Salesforce, InsuranceNow).
- Assists with data transfers between Salesforce, Outlook, and other technology tools.
- Identifies information patterns and how different data sources could work together to inform sound business decisions.
- Knowledgeable of agile processes and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Collaborates with other cross-functional teams to manage a platform to facilitate data sharing.
- Ability to communicate thoughts, data, and ideas to different audiences, making communication adjustments as needed.
- Ability to recognize, analyze and diagnose business and data issues of advanced complexity.
- Manage agency data reporting and development, providing reports to sales on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Ideal candidate will be able to work 3 days at our home office in Irvington, Virginia and 2 days remotely at the discretion of manager. The physical demands require the ability to sit, talk, see and hear and to be able to operate telephone and computer keypad.
