Extra protection for your lifestyle farm
Virginia culture is known for its "gentleman's farming", which is experiencing a resurgence in recent years. Standard homeowners policies do not cover small farms, so we created a special endorsement to give you the extra coverage you need.
Our coverage is designed for small farms used for personal pleasure rather than for profit.

Understanding our rural estate endorsement
Your standard homeowners insurance gives your property protection, but only up to a certain amount. Our rural estate coverage is a supplemental endorsement to your Northern Neck homeowners policy.

-
Eligible farming protection
Blanket coverage for farm buildings, livestock, and equipment protection, including horses, cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, cattle, hay, grain, and field crops.
-
Liability exposure coverage
Personal liability protection for personal use farming properties excluding commercial activities such as showing, breeding, boarding, training, or retail selling.
-
Ineligible exposures
Vacant farms, historic properties, bed and breakfast or farm experience operations, tobacco growing, U-Pick or U-Cut farms.
